Chie Matsumoto 松元 ちえ

Chie Matsumoto is a journalist and an adjunct media instructor in the Faculty of Law at Hosei University. She worked as a Tokyo correspondent at German Press Agency, dpa, and a reporter for the International Herald Tribune/The Asahi Shimbun. Matsumoto was also a research assistant in the Media and Journalism Studies at Tokyo University graduate program. Her works appear in books, Gender Hyogen Gaidobukku (Gender Expression Guidebook)(Shogakukan Publishing, 2022), Masukomi・Sekuhara Hakusho (State of Sexual Harassment in Media) (Bungei Shunju Publishing, 2020) among others, and in translations of The Purpose of Power (Sekai wo Ugokasu Henkaku no Chikara) (co-translator, Akashi Publishing, 2021) and others.

松元 　ちえ（まつもと　ちえ） ジャーナリスト、法政大学法学部メディア分析非常勤講師。インターナショナル・ヘラルド・トリビューン／朝日新聞で英字記者、dpaドイツ通信社で東京特派員として勤務したのち、『労働情報』で編集人を務めた。東京大学大学院情報学環では学術支援員として勤務した。共著に『失敗しないためのジェンダー表現ガイドブック』（小学館　２０２２年）、『マスコミ・セクハラ白書』（文藝春秋　２０２０年）など、共同翻訳には『世界を動かす変革の力〜ブラック・ライブズ・マター共同代表からのメッセージ』（明石書店　２０２１年）などがある。

David McNeill

Dr. David McNeill is a professor at the Department of English Language, Communication and Cultures at Sacred Heart University in Tokyo. He was previously a correspondent for The Independent and The Economist newspapers and for The Chronicle of Higher Education and his work has appeared in The New York Times, The Guardian, The Financial Times and other international publications. He is co-author of the book Strong in the Rain (with Lucy Birmingham) about the 2011 Tohoku disaster. He is an Asia-Pacific Journal editor and a long-term member of the Foreign Correspondents' Club of Japan.

Toshiaki Hibino 日比野敏陽

Toshiaki Hibino is a journalist whose wide ranging reporting has covered issues from climate change and nuclear energy, to health, local culture and labour issues. Though formerly a correspondent covering Kyoto and the Kansai region, he is currently based in Tokyo.

Mami Yoshinaga 吉永磨美

Mami Yoshinaga has reported for a mainstream, statewide newspaper before she became freelance. For two years since September 2020, she was an executive president of Japan Federation of Newspaper Workers’ Unions. As a freelance reporter, she covers social welfare, labor and gender issues.
